IFCIM held the 18th Supervisory Board Meeting at Telecom ParisTech
Co-chaired by Mr Jean-Philippe Vanot, President of ParisTech, and Mr PEI Gang, President of Tongji University, the Board brought together a great number of its French and Chinese industrial partners: Air France, EDF, China Telecom, Shanghai Telecom Co.Ltd, Shanghai Construction Group, Shanghai Railway Administration.

Amongst the French representatives, Mr Armel de la Bourdonnaye, Director of Ecole des Ponts ParisTech, Mr Edouard Husson, General Director of ESCP Europe and Mr Alexandre Peaudeau, representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs presented at the meeting.

During the Board discussions, the two Directors reached an agreement on three points:

  • A readjustment of the governance and functioning of IFCIM, which aims for the simplification, transparence and efficiency of the procedures.
  • A readjustment of the SIMBA Programme, in order to reinforce and diversify the training programmes in management. Two MBA will be offered from the start of the school year 2014: a junior MBA to complete the teaching courses provided by IFCIM and an executive MBA directed toward senior executives. To this end, the group of ESCP Europe, member of Supervisory Board, will be associated in these efforts.
  • Creation of a Think Tank, to set up a high-quality training programme of engineers in French model at Tongji University.
